I'm busy, busy and busy

We start our first workshop on this month. The theme is "CURE",  we need to design an object that could link to our emotion.

Now it is the second week of it (totally 3 weeks). now I start to understand what is busy: I am running after the team discussion, time table, and plus the proposal for JTI competition... all of this connect to pressure and nerves!  The most difficult part is coming up idea and, of course, team work... I start to learn how to deal with the situation that the different opinions in the group, when you love an idea but others think it's deja vu. And how to come up an idea is also what I am learning.

Just end with a sentence the philosopher quoted in his lecture: Stay hungry, Stay foolish. Doing design is an addiction, like your attempt to eat when you are hungry, it is a physical reaction.
I am working...
On the first week of workshop, we went to visit Villa Panza, and beautiful garden of museum.

München mag Dish

My first trip in Europe starts in Munich, German, where we had 3 days exhibition in OPTI.

On the night of 26 January, I get in the train to Verona ( I need to transfer from Verona Porta Nuova to Munich), start my 4 days journey in munich.
In the Milan central station, I was amazed by this old building which rebuild from a church.

See from the poster, this year is going to be the 150 anniversary of Italy.

You can see the edge of the floor, the builder insist to keep the wing. I don't know why, but I like this detail very much.
At 22:50 I arrived on Verona Porta Nuova. In this small and cold glass waiting room,,,
At about 1 o'clock, the train come,  finally I could have a sleep...
In the early morning, the train is running on the snow covered ground filed, the broadcasting starts to speak in Germany. My impression of calm, logical and efficient about Germany starts to become clear when I see the buildings, streets and people working inside.
At 6:30, arrived on Munich central station. With the help of a girl who can speak very well english, I found the hotel they reserved. checked in, took a shower, then I started my half day's wondering in munich.
In the city center, Marienplatz, everything seems new to me: the shoes in the window, the group of people who playing instruments in the square, the flower vender, the shop for art work... I look like a kid who is curious about everything in the world.

I felt so happy, even got lost in this city...
Read from Wikipedia, the city's motto is "München mag Dich" which means Munich Loves You. München, this name is derived from the Old Hight German Munichen, meaning of "by the monks' place", the monk of the Benedictine order who founded the city; hence the monk depicted on the city's coat of arms.
In italian, munich called "Monaco di Baviera", which has the same name of Monaco in France. Don't ask me why, I don't know, even the italian I asked he doesn't know..
There are several churches close to Marienplatz, I just walked around this area, entered a church by accident.

A pig is smiling to me in this chilling morning. :)
Behind the tree, it is not a real church as you can see, the front side is covered with a big picture. The church seems is in rebuilding, but they still consider about to leave a nice impression to visitor.

In the afternoon, we started our work in the exhibition center.

At night, after whole day's work, we went to a small nice restaurant. I like a kind of break very much. It's in heart shape, salty and crispy. Germany eat it when they are drinking beer.

2 giorni a Torino

5~6 febbraio, nostro viaggio a Torino.

"I need a brake!", that was the only thought when I finish the reaDesign workshop. So on the sunny saturday morning, Su and me, jump into a train to Turin, started our 2 days trip.

In the Piazza Carlo Alberto.

Bird view from the top of Mole Antonelliana. The city is surrounded on the western and northern front by Alps and eastern front by the hills of Monferrato.
In the Mole Antonelliana, the national museum of cinema. Here you can really feel the passion of the founders, their passion for movies.
Finally, we tried gelato of a famous iceream shop "Grom". Behind us, there is a activity that people sign to protest the government. Anyway, we are just passenger, enjoy the gelato moment!

"Toro" (bull) is the symbol of Turin, for its pronunciation is similar to "Torino".
In the parco valentino, we found 12 goddesses which present 12 months. This is the goddess of ottobre, my month.
